FreeMediaOnline.org assists independent journalists, NGO's, and international broadcasters from around the world in successfully placing their reports and comments on media outlets in countries whose governments are trying to restrict freedom of the press. We focus our activities on meeting information needs of populations which are exposed to propaganda of political, ethnic, racial, or religious intolerance and hatred.

If repression and restrictions prevent placement of the uncensored material in the officially tolerated media, we feature the work of silenced journalists on our web site and support underground and online publishing with innovative program placement solutions. We also work with domestic and international nonprofit organizations, international broadcasters, governments, and business to gain a wider audience for news reports on media freedom and journalistic ethics.

We believe that through education, cooperation of journalists, and mass media distribution of information from independent sources, we can overcome long-held prejudices and cultural misperceptions.
